CENTA is a social enterprise founded by people with deep backgrounds in education.
Ramya Venkataraman, Founder & CEO
At McKinsey & Company, where she was part of the firm’s leadership group in India, Ramya worked
with clients across industry sectors for 10 years before deciding to pursue her long-standing passion
for education. For the next 5+ years, she drove several large-scale and pioneering initiatives in
education and skills in India as Leader of McKinsey’s Education Practice. CENTA was a natural next
step for Ramya, drawing significantly from her on-the- ground experience to address what she sees
as one of the biggest challenges in the sector.
Anjali Jain, Founder-Director
Passionate about building new ventures, Anjali Jain believes that improvement in quality and effectiveness of teaching in the K-12 space is imperative for large-scale transformation in education – with CENTA as the catalyst for this transformation. Anjali brings in two decades of experience in business management and operations leadership, during which she has driven large-scale initiatives with a focus on entrepreneurial planning and execution.
