Roles we are hiring currently for:
1. Project Manager, teacher training, assessment and content projects (Chennai based)
2. Teacher trainers (Chennai based, part-time)
3. Subject Matter Experts in various subjects (can be online and/or part-time)
1. PROJECT MANAGER, TEACHER TRAINING, ASSESSMENT AND CONTENT PROJECTS (CHENNAI BASED):
With CENTA’s work in Tamil Nadu, with institutional clients, growing significantly, we are looking for a Project Manager to be based in Chennai.
Roles:
• Driving teacher training, assessment and content related projects, across English and Tamil mediums.
• The role will involve in-person meetings with clients and in-person workshops from time to time.
• Expected to be a project-based role to begin with; could grow into a longer term career with CENTA.
• The person will work closely with CENTA’s CEO, COO, Assessment Lead and Learning Lead.
Skills/Experience needed:
• At least 5 to 7 years of experience (in any sector), including strong experience in handling teams and running reasonably large scale projects. Individuals with greater experience could see a larger role.
• Experience in teacher development or student-facing work in education will be a significant plus, but individuals without that background could be considered based on other skills.
• Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships with clients.
• Good verbal and written communication in both English and Tamil, to be able to develop content and maintain quality control over content in both languages.
• High energy levels and self-initiative.
• Comfort with general technology tools.
2. TEACHER TRAINERS (CHENNAI BASED, PART-TIME):
With CENTA’s work in Tamil Nadu, with institutional clients, growing significantly, we are looking for Chennai based teacher trainers to be involved with us on a part-time or project basis. These roles could grow into longer term career roles with CENTA. The person will work closely with the Project Manager based out of Chennai.
Looking for both online roles and roles involving in-person workshops.
Skills/Experience needed:
• Senior trainers with at least 10 years of experience in teaching and teacher training: o Experience in designing and running trainings.
• Strong pedagogical understanding, to support teachers in lesson planning, student assessment, classroom management, etc.
• Good depth in at least one subject.
• Excellent verbal communication skills, in both English and Tamil.
• Good written communication skills, preferably in both English and Tamil (though open to individuals who can only speak Tamil).
• Additional trainers with at least 2 years of experience in teaching and teacher training: o Good depth in at least one subject.
• Excellent verbal communication skills, in both English and Tamil.
• Good written communication skills, preferably in both English and Tamil (though open to individuals who can only speak Tamil).
• CENTA-Certified teachers will have a significant advantage.
3. SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTS IN A RANGE OF DOMAINS (CAN BE ONLINE AND/OR PART-TIME):
CENTA works in a range of subjects (Language, Maths, Science, Social Studies, Commerce subjects, etc.) right from pre-primary to senior secondary and even higher education, across several language mediums (most immediate requirements in English, Hindi and Tamil mediums). We are constantly adding to the pool of Subject Matter Experts who largely work online and part-time.
Roles:
• Supporting creation of content, training and assessment in the subject.
• Reviewing specific content in the subject (including written content and videos).
• Evaluating submissions of teachers applying for certification, for subject-related aspects.
Individuals with teaching background may have an advantage; however, we are open to individuals with deep understanding of the subject (including students of higher education), who are not in teaching.
